Though we live in Brisbane we choose to to come to Byron Bay and glorious Julian Rocks to dive for several reasons; firstly, the incredible diversity and density of sea life that this special marine park has to offer - every dive seems to produce a different experience. Second is the professionalism, competence and incredible friendliness of the Sundive team.... More

From the booking a few weeks in advance to arriving and sorting gear. Sundive was an absolute pleasure to dive with. They get you involved in the launching and landing of the boat and the dive guides are patient and very professional. The diving was amazing as usual. Leopard sharks, schools of bullrays, massive turtles, lionfish etc. There was nothing... More

Went on a snorkelling trip with my husband and myself in December. Pros - lovely staff, invested in divers safety, real community feel - if you are planning a scuba dive, couldn't think of anywhere better. Cons - Snorkellers need to be fairly self-sufficient as it's really just an add-on service while the boats are going out (and priced accordingly... More

2 Jan 2012 We drove 3.5 hours to Byron to catch the 10:45am dive. Caught in jam, and almost missed the dive. Rushed through changing and preparation. Since I'm still a beginner, current and choppy sea were definitely not making the dive as enjoyable as I wanted it to be. Second dive was much better. The sea was calmer and... More

Extremely professional, well-run dive facility with plenty of rental gear and knowledgable and experienced dive leaders. Quick and easy access to boat, beach and dive site. Thorough gear checks and help before and after dive. Very safety conscious too. Excellent diving to boot!! Wish I'd done more More

With our usual unfortunate luck, we arrived when the currents had changed direction, bringing muddy water from a swollen river and strong surge from large storms which have recently hit NSW hard. However, the team made it enjoyable, despite the conditions. The early morning start was cold, particularly making the boat ride in a damp wetsuit. However, the water was... More
