We were a little hesitant to do this tour because we had young kids and the trip involves paddling our kayaks out through the surf break, then a few kilometers towards open ocean, to experience the amazing dolphins and other sea life. But the wonderful staff put our minds to rest displaying nothing but the highest level of professionalism and... More

It is more fun the more waves are on the ocean, I really enjoyed it! I just saw two dolphins right after the start and some people complained about that, but I think it's bad luck on the other day I might have seen more so: If you just want to see some dolphins you better go to a zoo,... More

This is well worth the experience. Guided by experience kayakers who know Byron Bay inside out. We were lucky enough to have an extremely close encounter with both a pod of dolphins and turtles numerous times. Well done to 'Dougie' who made the trip as easy as possible by using mother nature to our advantage which saved our muscle power.... More

Was able to book the night before by sms which was super convenient as a traveller who does not like making plans in advance. Guides were great, entertaining and fantastic at spotting dolphins and turtles. Great that they lock up your belongings so you don't have to worry about your stuff while on the water. Pictures that they take and... More

I have been out with Go Sea Kayak twice and loved both experiences, the guides were great felt safe and in good hands. Loved learning about the history of Byron from the water, and catching the waves. While snorkling I saw Turtles from about 2m away, bull sting rays, heaps of dolphins and all kinds of fish. I'll be back... More

My friend and I went for a morning kayak. Three instructors took our group out and we were lucky enough to get to see two pods of dolphins. We didn't see any turtles. They lock up your belongings before you head out and give you a snack when you get back to the beach. They post pictures on their Facebook... More

Great way to see Byron bay from the sea We were unlucky - many trips apparently see dolphins and turtles. We saw nothing. But the crew were very positive and helpful so even the least confident paddler was ok. Group size was pretty big - try and book to go at a quieter session if you can.

Did this whilst in Byron Bay just after New Years Day. The experience was good and we saw some wildlife whilst out kayaking. However, I personally think it is a bit pricey for what we got and the kayaks were incredibly uncomfortable. That aside, it is a good way to spend a morning or an afternoon.

We booked our kayak session on a beautiful Byron day for 3 adults and 3 kids. When it came to it one of our group was a little freaked by the surf and didn't want to go. The rest of us battled through and got to calmer waters. Great guides, competent water safety and wildlife guides and we swam, snorkelled... More
