The museum is small but has a nice layout. One of the newest exhibits is a full skeleton of a mastodon. This museum hasn't changed much since I was a kid, especially the area with the north American wildlife exhibit. Since it isn't that big, it would be good for a child's first museum visit.

I enjoyed the museum part, it was very clean and informative. My husband and I were VERY disappointed with the planetarium. This museum always had a lot of interesting exhibits to keep visitors entertained and informed. There is a planetarium show as well. I went to this museum when I was young, and took my son when he was a child. Next i will be taking my grandkids!
