Totem Pole has money problems and it looked like they were folding. But, serious campaigning and donations came through and the theatre is open and presenting programs for the 2013 season. They opened the season with Sally Struthers' one-woman show. We went on the opening matinee. The problem>? Totem Pole has seriously increased ticket prices. Our two seats in row... More

Very entertaining, clean, friendly, well known entertainers. Loved the country music plays Buddy Holly, Hank Williams. Would love to see the Sanders family back.

Totem Pole offers Broadway-quality professional theater. We know because we have been attending Totem Pole for dozens of years. There are six different shows every summer. According to the brochure, this year is expanded with seven Broadway shows plus a pre-season and a post-season show. The pre-season show stars Sally Struthers! It is difficult to know how they do it,... More

We have had season tickets to the summer stock plays for a couple of years now and enjoy almost all of them. We go to Wednesday matinees and have front row seats so we always get up close and personal with the actors. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative is the limited bathroom facilities which is to be... More

What a find! Wonderful productions of some interesting plays--both well-known and not so well-known. Excellent actors; very good directors; fine shows; and super costumes, sets, props, lighting, and sound. All 'round, it's been a wonderful experience seeing their show, and well worth the 2-hour-plus drive from Maryland to the theatre. We saw "Red, White, and Tuna" yesterday, loved it, and... More

The theatre is located in Caledonia State Park and offers a variety of shows through the summer from musical to mystery to comedy. Obviously some shows are better than others but the theatre is very small and not a bad seat in the house. It is a good exposure to summer theatre and a cast who is normally performing one... More

Nestled in the pines near Caledonia State park, this theater has a reputation for outstanding summer theater performances. The theater was originally run by actress Jean Stapleton's husband, the late Bill Putch. Whether it's comedy, drama, or musical theater the performances are top notch. The theater is intimate with only a couple hundred seats which keeps you close to the... More
