Trees that are thousands of years old- amazing views of the Pacific Ocean- 1000 foot elevation change so a great workout- not a cigarette butt or granola bar wrapper to be found! Be prepared with food and drink- you will be out for 4-6 hours! More

The trail is steep and rocky with many exposed tree roots as well at the north (Seaside) end but gets less severe as you near Ecola St Park. We had planned to go about halfway-- to see the WWII bunkers-- and go back to our car parked on the Seaside end. It started out very brisk; even though it was... More

This was our 2nd time on the trail. The first time, last year, we started from Ecola Park. This time we started from Seaside. Its shorter from Ecola Park. But either way is equally "up". We love to hike and be in the forest. And that is what we got. Once in awhile you can peek out and see the... More
