A friend from Portland took us here. We are visiting Portland and told us about this garden. We went today and had a great time walking the gardens. I took over 100 photos. This is well worth the time to come. They sell cut flowers and wish I could have taken an arm load with us.
Beautiful gardens. Went at peak blooming time. Never knew there were so many iris's in existence. Some a even fragrant. Well groomed and well layer out. A must see.
I decided to stop by this nursery before work. It was a beautiful sunny day, about 70 degrees. I love taking pictures of flowers. The gardens are in bloom from early May to the first week of June. It's a perfect place to take mom for Mother's Day. In about an hour, I took nearly 200 shots. I enjoyed these...

We drove here accidentally while in the area and thought we'd died and gone to heaven! The gardens are absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Wonderful, gorgeous, beautiful, stunning, words cannot explain how marvelous these gardens are!!! Even better: they're free! Everyone should go!
You will never see a prettier place when the Iris' are in bloom. The owners spend months readying this beautiful garden for the public each year. The grounds are impecably maintained. Take you time to spend some time there. Walk slowly, take pictures and when you need a little rest, there are benches right out in the middle of the...

You will never see so many beautiful flowers at once as when this garden is at full bloom. Besides thousands of iris, poppies a foot across, gorgeous lupines -- your eyes are just overwhelmed. I just wandered in the rain, taking photos and staring.
When the iris are in bloom, stop here to admire the countless varieties of color and shape grown just north of Salem. (From I-5 the fields are ribbons of blues, purples, whites, yellows....) A walk through the old-fashioned garden shows off these amazing blossoms as well as companion plants. You can use an inventory list to mark the specimens you...

I live and work in this area and when they are in bloom every year it is a beautiful site with a huge variety of blooms.
The gardens have a mother's day event, breakfast, and you get to tour rows and rows of beautiful iris flowers. There is a catalogue and you can pick and choose right then what you might like to buy for next season's planting. While we loved the food and the flowers, we felt like the Iris bulbs were overpriced for us.
