This park is on donated land. Just go for the flowers, especially to check out the rose gardens. Site of the Salem Art Fair, Soap Box derby and some great Willamette University sporting events. I have watched a couple of college baseball games for free.

Salem's gem in the crown, Bush's Park has everything you could possibly want in a park. Great play areas, beautiful gardens, classic Oregon Oaks, an excellent Art Museum, Bush House and Deepword, and so love to have it as my back yard,

What's not to like- the trees were in bloom, people were using the park for jogging, walking dogs, etc. Just beautiful!

You have a variety of activities to participate in at Bush Park. Softball, football, tennis, jogging, walking path, art barn, Bush House, Willamette University Football and baseball stadium. If their is decent weather Bush Park will be busy. A number of playgrounds for the kids.

I shouldn't really rate this park as I haven't walked completely through it for many years. It could have changed. I did attend the annual Art Festival however and really enjoyed that.

I love walking in the well maintained park. I browse in the Art Gallery. When out-of-town guests come, we often take them to Bush House and they enjoy the tour. Of course, there's the Art Fair, which we attend almost every spring.

This was a good big park to visit during the day, just stay away at night. There were lots of areas to run and get a workout!

Last September I had a few weeks in Salem which I spent running in this park with my dog. We parked near some quaint older homes and for the most part it felt safe. Some areas in the park are a bit secluded and are sketchy, but most of it seems safe.

You will always find company along these trails. There are often events, birthday parties, soap box races, etc. held here. The park flows into the Williamette University tennis courts, baseball fields and track arena. Decent place for a downtown jog.
