We were a little skeptical about the Oregon Zoo from reading some of the reviews here, but were pleasantly surprised after we spent a good three hours touring it. We are from Seattle, and are self-admitted zoo snobs, and we were worried, based on some of the reviews here, that OZ would be a let down. It wasn't, and except...

I loved coming here as a kid, and I still love coming here now and bringing my niece! The animals are well-kept and the displays are well preserved and have a natural feel. Be sure to eat an elephant ear pastry while you are there, and try to catch one of the shows in the amphitheater like the birds of...

Fun for all age groups and outings. Visit the whole park if you have time, there is a cute train you can talk around.

There is a variety of animals and the zoo is well laid out. However, if you have mobility issues, come prepared. There's a lot of walking for the average person and parking can be hard to find - take the Max!

It's a zoo. Fun for the kids. Nothing unique. I liked it one time. Wife doesn't want to do it again, even with the grandson.

The Portland Zoo is well laid out and welcoming. Not normally a fan of zoos, the Portland Zoo is well thought out. Even in high (schools out) seasons the viewing areas are accessible and comfortable.

I am really shocked. The animals (especially the cats) look underfed, you can see their bones and they look sickly. They are aggressively hungry as if they need to eat. The pens are filthy, small, enclosures and all of the animals look miserable. They should be ashamed. Look them up on youtube you can even see it in videos how...
