Tranquil setting. Quiet, winding paths. Spring fed ponds. Colorful waterfowl in abundance. Beautiful flowers (of course). Only drawbacks: you have to pay a nominal fee to enter (except on certain weekdays), and the golf course behind the garden makes an ugly, sterile backdrop to an otherwise beautiful garden setting. Adults will probably appreciate this one more than kids. More

We visited earlier this month, right before mother's day. The garden is beautiful, with many paths but not so big that we felt overwhelmed. I agree that a map would be nice so we could know where we were going in the park. Only a small fee. More

I would have given this a higher mark but the park needs maintenance. It has a worn look and lots of weeds. The park itself other than that is beautiful. The lakes and ponds were lovely. A photographers dream. The entrance was not inviting and there were not any maps to guide you through the park. With that said I... More

I made my first trip...but not my last to the gardens today. The flowers were blooming and showed every color of the rainbow. A season pass is a true bargain. More

An extraordinary collection of Rhododendrons and Azaleas makes this garden a must see when visiting Portland around Mother's Day. Thirteen natural springs pump 6,000 gallons of water through the garden's streams, falls and ponds each day, providing irrigation and wildlife habitat. We saw people in wheel chairs and others with canes, but visitors should know that some paths include fairly... More

We visited the Garden in early May, just as the Rhododendron's were blooming. The garden has several meandering, paved paths, that wind around and through it. There is a small lake that runs through the grounds as well, and we saw geese and several different varieties of ducks swimming on the lake. The Rhodendrons appear to be well cared-for, and... More
