We went here last Saturday. Was amazed to see variety of arts, delicious street food and exotic things. An afternoon well spent!!!

Living in LA, we have what are called "farmers makets" but they sell very little fruits and vegetables - mostly cleaning products, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. It was sonderful to see a real market, blocks long with such a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, wines, cheeses, etc. Wish I could get there weekly!

The large Farmers Market held at the university grounds in Portland every Saturday was probably my favorite attraction in Portland. great farmer's market...anything you want/need or think you want/need is at this market...great local artists/crafters...imported items...food, food, food...you could spend hours looking, eating, wandering...goes on for blocks...lots of fun shopping/browsing..

There was soooo much great produce, and cookies, and treats, and sauces ,and so on. We had to try several items and wished we lived in the area so we could bring more home. Worth the trip even if you are just visiting Portland

I now have a new standard to judge all farmer's markets by. Things that made this particular farmer's market stand out: location, the sheer number of vendors, restaurant vendors in addition to produce/meat/dairy vendors, local chef show, the willingness of the vendors to sample, live music...There are so many things I liked about this particular farmer's market.
