Who would believe that you could find a wonderful park with hiking trails, a rose garden, Japanese gardens, a zoo, a holocaust memorial, public tennis courts and beautiful Victorian houses within a short walk from downtown Portland or the Pearl and NW District known as Nob Hill! This park is so gorgeous and well laid out. Tons of areas to rest, to walk, to sit and talk. The foliage is beautiful, and the environment is peaceful. Hard to believe this is just a couple of blocks from the city.
Some when you live in an area you forget to do all the wonderful things there are to do there. I always take guest to Washington Park. Amazing park right in the middle of the City! Japanese Gardens, Rose Gardens, Zoo,... etc. Lovely spot int the middle of Portland.
A stunning place including the various trails that you walk. Go and explore as its one of the highlights of the City. There is also a beautifully designed Holocaust Memorial which was understated and thoughtfully done and therefore very moving.

It's...

No roses, but it did not matter. Rhodoies, Camilla's, clematis and azaleas, all in perfect form and beauty. We were very impressed with how well maintained and beautiful the gardens are. Will return soon.
