Visited this as part of a day tour. The park is beautiful and well laid out. Lot's of areas to walk, to sit and take in the garden views. Would ave liked to have spent more time in these gardens.

Who would believe that you could find a wonderful park with hiking trails, a rose garden, Japanese gardens, a zoo, a holocaust memorial, public tennis courts and beautiful Victorian houses within a short walk from downtown Portland or the Pearl and NW District known as Nob Hill! Beautiful year round with great views of Mt. Hood on clear days. You... More

This park is so gorgeous and well laid out. Tons of areas to rest, to walk, to sit and talk. The foliage is beautiful, and the environment is peaceful. Hard to believe this is just a couple of blocks from the city.

Some when you live in an area you forget to do all the wonderful things there are to do there. I always take guest to Washington Park. The views of Portland are beautiful, the play grounds perfect for little one of all ages and laying under the tress are so relaxing! You can walk over to the Rose Gardens or... More

A stunning place including the various trails that you walk. Go and explore as its one of the highlights of the City. There is also a beautifully designed Holocaust Memorial which was understated and thoughtfully done and therefore very moving.

This Park is huge with lots of free stuff as well as a few things which include a fee. I know someone who took the metro here and he said you are dropped off in a very deep train station and take an elevator up to get out. That would not be for me. And while this place is very... More

From the Oregon Zoo, the Japanese Gardens, Rose Test Gardens, tennis courts, train ride, and so much more - a visit to Portland would not be complete without a visit to Washington Park. The park is surrounded by mansions and the view of Portland from the Rose Garden is exquisite.

This park is truly one of Portland's greatest gifts... miles of hiking and biking paths, a stunning Japanese garden any city would be proud of, a spectacular Rose garden that holds concerts, a zoo, a forrest museum, a children's museum, an arboretum.. these are just a few of the ways you can spend a relaxing day at Washington Park. It's... More

No roses, but it did not matter. Rhodoies, Camilla's, clematis and azaleas, all in perfect form and beauty. We were very impressed with how well maintained and beautiful the gardens are. Will return soon.
