Beautiful to see. Tours were not available at the time we visited but it's a pretty little light house. The campground need some improvements and it is very windy year round on the peninsula. Historical museum is more than interesting.

The bluffs overlookiing the ocean is great. High winds are the norm. Wonderful lighthouse.

The trails are tunnels through the thick ever-green forrest and open to a view overlooking the ocean. Very pretty.

We visited Cape Blanco State Park, which is a little outlying, on a foggy afternoon in September.
As it was late in the afternoon we did not take the lighthouse tour but walked around a little bit (tour costs 2 USD).

Oh my gosh! I now know why this magnificant lighthouse was so important to seafaring travellers. It is one of the more spectacular panoramic views of the seascape....but man....the weather and wind can be fierce at times! And don't forget to stop at the old homestead on the way in and buy some of their special huckleberry or marionberry jam!

Beautiful place. A little out of the way. We went once and while we could hear the surf, we could not see it. Went back on a clear (windy) day and the view was GREAT.

We were here only one night but would stay longer next time. The campground, bathrooms and showers were very clean. I was surprised how nice the whole campground was. Each camp site was large and well screened from other sites. The beach was beautiful, huge and unoccupied. The entire experience was great, if you are in the area you wont...

Beds and a table and chair and electricity are provided, a fire pit and picnic table and cooking outside. Soon, pets will be allowed inside, but are not now for...

We traveled to Cape Blanco where a lady suggested to us to stop at Port Orford Heads State Park and see the museum about the former coast guard lifeboat station. We were really surprised about the displays of the museum and the trails in the park that got us to several vista points at the coast. We were also thrilled...
