A fairly-typical collection of shops in a touristy area, such as candy stores, a kitchen store, and plenty of knick-knack stores, but not overwhelming, they can be walked through in an hour or so. Be careful where you park, for since at least 2010 the city aggressively enforces the rules, decorating offenders' windshields with bright orange tickets for all to... More

The Bayfront is cool with a mix of shops, restaurants, and working fish docks, but make sure you stop to see the sea lions sunning themselves on the docks near the middle of the Bayfront. It was completely unexpected and very entertaining to watch. Kids will love it! More

Love the areas where you can watch the boats come in and clean the catch. So many high quality shops, not so many junk shops. Restaurants not so spendy. I don't mind the smell at all. Could sit by the ice cream shop and enjoy people watching all day. More

Good parking area. Mostly tourist shops. Not much open before 11Am. Not much to see. More

This is one of my favorite waterfronts on the entire West Coast. The mix of shops, eateries, sea lions, fishing marina, and iconic bridge make it a must-stop in Newport. More

The bayfront is several blocks of shops, galleries, restaurants, and businesses. There are candy shops and coffee shops. You can do the tourist thing in a variety of ways. My favorite experiences there are to visit the Chuck Forinash Gallery and to visit the sea lions. This can be a short or long excursion. You will find snacks and meals... More

It was a good place to find seafood, bring the kids, or shop. More

I enjoyed eating chowder at Mo's. Go to the original, instead of the annex. Walk the dock area. I took some great pictures from there. There is a wide variety of shops here. I spent several hours browsing. Everyone seemed so friendly here! More
