OK, we're a couple of guys who don't know anything about lavender except it's a color we would never be caught wearing! We came across the lavender fields of the valley unexpectedly when we were sightseeing along the Fruit Loop near Hood River. I'm so happy I googled Things to Do in Hood River and found the Lavender Farms. Our 1st stop on the Fruit Loop. We picked a big bunch of lavender for only $5. More

We saw a sign for the Lavender Farm off the main highway and decided to go. Boy was this fortuitous. The scenery, the flowers and the lavender are gorgeous. They have a deal; cut as much lavender as you can fit in a zip tie bundle for $5. There are friendly bees all around the lavender, but they will not... More
