it was cheap and a nice little time consumer. but didnt have much to offer other than some cool ballet costumes and a lot of information about springfield and how it got started. More

A nice place to see special exhibits and collections, plus the permanent collection of the lumber industry in the McKenzie and Willamette river valleys and hills, and in the Cascades. Fabulous photos.. More

I wish it was bigger but they make the most of the space they have. Very cool and you can't beat the price! More

It's interesting to learn some of the history of the area, especially regarding the working people. The historical neighborhood was one of the working class (as opposed to the University/elite) More

The Springfield museum is housed in a disused electricity transformer station - a distinctive building on Main street. It houses a temporary exhibit room but the main attraction is the local history display which starts at the foot of the stairs and winds up to a cavernous room at the top of the building.
