BEAUTIFUL area with two lakes formed by volcanic eruptions. The lakes and surrounding trails provide great camping, fishing, hiking and boating. Unique obsidian rock in the whole area--there is a great 1 mile trail all through a flow. Also Paulina Falls is there--an overall lovely area. More

Great little guided tours, family friendly hikes, secret hot springs, camping sites located on the lake. A short day trip from Bend with cool things to see and do and closer than Crater Lake if you don't have time to make it down there. The obsidian flow (black lava) is a must see, take the 30 minute walk. See both lakes and if you have time drive up to the peak and enjoy the views. More

The drive up to the top and the views are great but if you get this far in DO NOT miss going a little further to the Obsidian Flows... you've never seen anything like this black glass lava flow that has a nice little improved trail that runs through it. Moderate. More
