When I last visited it it was pretty weak. When you compare it to Tsa la Gi in Tahlaquah you know that it could be a lot stronger. It's important to the history of the US and it should be well funded and very professionally managed.

I went during elementary/middle school (15 years ago) and it was a really nice museum then, but not the most interesting place to take your kids. Definately great for those interested in the history of the Native Americans. Older children (12-15) might like the re-enactments.

An informative look into the art of the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Seminole & Creek tribes. Check out the website fivetribes.org for various events. This museum is at one of the entrances into the beautiful Honor Heights Park.

Have gone through many times and well worth a visit. Nice museum store. Wonderful art displayed in the museum. Love the old agency building and the agency hill. A good time to visit is early April during the Azalea Festival and Art Under the Oaks.
