This remnant from the glaciers that once covered northern Ohio is a little known geologic gem located on Kelleys Island. Everyone who goes to Kelleys should take a walk around this formation and read about the making of and discovery of the glacial grooves.

We made a day trip to Kelley's Island and visited the grooves when we were there.
They really are quite spectacular in terms of both depth and length.
The formation of the grooves is fascinating and it's interesting to imagine the glaciers which caused them.
