I am not known for my fishing prowess or knowledge, but we had the best fun here. We relaxed at the lake, trying our hand. There were plenty of bites in the rainforest area. There were staff to help and give pointers if we wanted. Our catches were then cleaned and cooked for our delicious lunch. The rest we took... More

Being a city family, our 6 year old daughter hasn't had the opportunity to go fishing. We therefore decided to take an easy drive to Phillip Island and visit the trout farm. We met some friends there who have a 7 year old. We started with an amazing devonshire tea. I would recommend the wattleseed scones with strawberry gum and... More

We could have spent hours fishing in the pool but we were time constrained and we cheated by catching trout in the inside pool where there are 1,200 hungry fish. Shooting fish in a barrel or what.... but the experience for the 'children' (20, 14, 11) was unforgettable. The owners and staff could not have been more helpful and to... More

Spending days using a B&B across the road from the Rhyll Trout Farm, we had seen their large sign as we drove in a out of our accommodation, bit did little more than say to ourselves, "we must go and see what the Trout Farm is like before we leave." Fortunately for us we chose to visit the attraction as... More

Second time here in six months. My kids loved it the first time. Decided to drop by again. I don't think my family members are good fishermen/fisherwomen. We spent about an hour in the 'trophy' pond, and all we caught were dead leaves and sticks. Nevertheless, we are excited when another family near us caught a couple of really decent... More

We really enjoyed ourselves when we visited. We fished in the out door pond and it took us about 30 - 40 minutes to each catch a fish. The entry fee is only $9 so I find it amazing that people in other reviews are complaining about the price. We also enjoyed the relaxing walk around the property and found... More

Wow! I've been saving for a little bit so I could take my two children here because they love to fish and I had heard that it was a little on the dear side... I actually came away with part of the money I had saved because it really wasn't that bad, no different to any other attraction you'd take... More

What a stupid thing to do. We paid $9 per adult for 2 x grandparents and ourselves, plus $7 each for our niece and nephew (at least our toddler was free), when only our nephew was going to fish, and it would have cost $19 per kg of any fish he caught so essentially it cost the family $68 to... Hi HappiestAway, It is disappointing to see you did not have a great visit to our attraction. We have had a great School Holidays so far with everyone leaving with big smiles on their faces, unfortunate you didn't leave here like the majority. On the particular day you are talking about we had 41 fish caught out of the lake... More

What a great introduction to fishing! We had an amazing day catching 6 fish at the external pond. The staff were great especially Adam when he took the hooks out of the catch for us. He was really thoughtful, when the kids realized the fish had to be killed... his discretion fabulous. Jethro was fabulous with the younger kids as well,... More
