I was amazed at the place. Went to Northumberland just for three days and wished it had been longer. I bought the tickets for the castle and gardens on line as it is cheaper that way. You can also buy your parking on line. This was an amazing place. I never expected it to be so good. You could actually... More

There is so much to see and do in the castle, we needed two trrips to see it all. Luckily once you have paid for entry you can return as many times as you like within one year. More

We spent our time in the gardens, only seeing the castle from the grounds. The reason being that the weather was beautiful and the gardens a delight. Much thought has been put into the gardens and I would certainly recommend them as a must to visit. More

If you go to both the castle and gardens this has something for everyone. The water feature in the gardens is worth the admission price alone and the castle is great. The grounds are lovely to walk around and the tree-house as well. More

This is a must see attraction in the North East. We used Newcastle as a base and the drive to Alnwick took just over half an hour. Me and my husband spent the good part of a day here recently. The gardens are amazing, the water features are very impressive and the cascade was truly spectacular. The castle itself was... More

A group of 5 mums and 9 children visited Alnwick Castle and Gardens last weekend (Saturday 19th May). It averaged just over £10 per person but was excellent value for money. We didnt manage to see everything in one day. The gardens are stunning. The water cascade is fantastic. The water sculptures are interesting. We never got as far as... More

We visited Alnwick Castle in May 2012. The state rooms were superb, with the staff very knowledgable. We ate in the Hotspur restaurant and the food was gorgeous. My son raved about the sausages and mash! I had fish and chips which were presented on a wooden platter - lovely. The Dragon Quest is ideal for young kids, and for... More

When we heard that the gardens where being revived we promised ourselves a visit when they where re-opened, well worth the wait, the Water Cascade certainly has the 'Wow' factor, do the tour (escorted for obvious reasons) through through Poison Garden very interesting the Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable all the gardens are well laid out, your ticket entitles you... We enjoyed our visit to Alnwick Castle. We took a tour of the grounds, visited the staterooms, tried our hand at archery, and watched the young wizards learn to ride broomsticks! More

We visited Alnwick gardens in May 2012 while we were having a 4 day break in the area. We decided that if the weather was good, which it was briefly,we would visit the gardens and not the castle. We spent a wonderful 3 hours in total there. As it was lovely weather we went into Alnwick town centre for a pub lunch... More
