A surprising mini palace with some very victorian bits and pieces - some lovely and some hideous. Some of the portraits and photographs are very interesting and there is lots of info about the dynasty of Victoria and Albert More

We visited at Easter and loved the house. The staff are all so knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. It's well worth doing the short walk to the Swiss Cottage - our son loved seeing the little gardens, the fort and the museum. The food in the cafe is also excellent. More

The staff are fantastic, and the food is locally produced. Great menus and highly recommend the high tea and macaroons. Probably the most stunning and fantastic hisorical location imaginable to have lunch. More

Osborne House is truly magnificent and has some fascinating history to share. With the walks it's easily a day out for all the family. Sadly the attendants are more like guardians rather than guides. They seem knowlegible but you are aware that they are watching your every move ready to admonish with a "do not touch".They are reminiscient of the... More

We visited in May and toured the gardens first - they were very pretty and had wonderful views across the water. We had lunch at the house and it was very good. We then toured the house and enjoyed imagining how Queen Victoria's family actually lived - on the human scale; for example, seeing Queen Victoria's shower and bedroom. It... More

Osbourne House is charming. As it was raining our visit was limited to just the house. It was easy to imagine a family life going on here as it is so homely. Many exhibits of life gone by to look at and the staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Beautiful views leading down to the Solent from many of the rooms.... More
