There is something about going to the Theater that is so much fun. I have been to multiple shows and concerts at Playhouse square and have never been disappointed. The workers at Playhouse have always been respectful to the guests there and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. I've sat a few rows from the front (when... More

Since the Cleveland Play House moved downtown to Playhouse Square's redesigned Allen Theatre, the quality and buzz has shot through the roof. The main space has retained old architectural features but the seating is surprisingly intimate. I saw the opener, Brecht's The Life of Galileo, and it looked great. We returned last week to see In the Next Room, or... More

The show was supposed to start at 7. They let everyone into the lobby area but didn't allow anyone to be seated until after 7. It was just a mess of people packed into the lobby without being able to sit. Grrrr More

I love the way the Playhouse seems to have retained the grand old theater look while providing the acoustics necessary for thoroughly modern act like Trombone Shorty and his brassy New Orleans band. More

Happened to be in town when Aretha Franklin was in concert. What a beautiful concert hall. Also, the seats are comfortable with plenty of room. This may not be a big deal for some, but in my home city we have a Theatre where the seats are too close together, uncomfortable and it detracts from the event. More

We truly enjoy our visits to the Cleveland Play House in their new theater at Playhouse Square. Their newest production, Red, was amazing -- funny, thrilling and poignant. More

Fantastic, entertaining interactive comedy. Even if you are not Irish you will laugh until your sides split, well almost. A great casual evening with dedicated actors. More

Recently moving to a new site on Playhouse Square, the new theater is spectacular! Seats are close to the stage even in the balcony. The plays this year have been delightful. The Second Stage Theater is only 7-rows deep so you are very near the action. Definitely worth a visit. More
