This place has THE best apple pie with spiced apple ice cream. Not fussed on the apple cider but then I am not a cider drinker. We went to have a look and discovered the food.

Great spot to go and get upfront and personnel with fruit trees and the whole process of what can be done with apples. The staff were very enthusiastic and provided a must have HUGE apple slice which was at least 50mm (2 inches) thick. Lots of great photos and the snack is served at old style school desks. Pick your...

Visited with family and kids on Good Friday day. Two families went as a group. I found the orchard was very beautiful and interesting but some of the staff at the counter were very rude to the kids and felt whether they showed racism which made the trip to the place unpleasant. We have visited other places like the Strawberry...

We drove up from Brisbane on 21st April and had pretty much the same experience as the last two reviewers. Between the 3 of us we could only find 7 decent apples ... and even then no-one wanted to eat them because we were so turned off apples after the whole experience.
Before leaving home I took advice from trip...

Thank you for your feedback.
Apples that grow on trees look and feel quite different to the ones you see at the supermarket, where they have been sorted into sizes. Supermarkets don’t take apples that are too big, apples that are too small, apples that have any marks on them or apples that are ripe (too much sugar when they...

We turned up and asked to do some picking and were asked to pay $2 entry each then had to pay for apples later. It was only after we paid for entry we were told that some of the crop was damaged. Turned out most of what we found was rotten, hail damaged, fruit flies, etc. out of the 6...

Visited the orchard today and the first thing that turned us off was we need to pay $2 each for an environmental bag that is used to carry our picked apples. Why do we need to pay for the bags when we are there for apples? Advice: Bring your own bags! But that aside, there were more rotten apples than...

We charge a $2 entry fee per person for the privilege of visiting our orchard, and with this, each person also receives a bag to take down to the orchard to pick apples. It’s an entry fee; not $2 for the bag. The great thing about visiting our farm is that visitors have the choice...

We have been to Suttons several times since we discovered Stanthorpe in 2006. We hadn't been back for over two years when we visited in April 2013 and were really happy to discover how much had changed!!
The 'shed' has been transformed into a rustic cafe which serves lunches and the BEST apple pie you will ever eat. Served with...

Thank you so much for your lovely review, and for visiting us once again! We’re really thrilled that you enjoyed the developments – the transformation from shed to shed café certainly was a significant one for us. Will make sure our staff hear about your compliments – it does get incredibly busy at times. And of course, pleased to hear...

Yes, a good place to go especially for those who have kids. I only noticed that the male chubby attendant was a bit impatient for other customer or visitor. I felt we was descrimated at the shop while waiting for other family members to arrived.Yes, I understand that some asian people are no manners and also impolite, but its not...

Sorry to hear about this, unfortunately when it gets very busy over the school holidays and Easter, the shed gets very full as people are tasting apple juice and cider, eating in the café and coming and going from apple picking all at the same time, and it’s a challenge for us to have large groups standing in the entrance...

Until suttons didnt realsie how flexible apple juice was- it really lends itself to different flavours- try the apple and ginger, or the apple and lemon- what an experience- the staff are very friendly and make ur visit a pleasure.
Thank you for your feedback! Apples certainly are versatile - we are always looking for new ways to use them in things. Will pass your kind words on to the staff, thank you for the compliment to them. Glad you enjoyed the apple and ginger juice - it's my favourite!

It was in the middle of winter, coming from the Sunshine Coast, rain, cold ....very miserable weather brrr. Visiting Stanthorpe we had to go and see what it was all about Suttons and their apple pie. It was the best we had ever had (sorry only my wife's apple pie is better phew :)) and very very big. I can...

Thank you for the lovely review! We're thrilled you found warmth and good food and an escape from the cool wet weather in our cafe. The apple pie certainly is generously sized, and pleased you got to try some apple and ginger cake as well. Hope to see you again at Sutton's.
