I tasted some of Shannonvale’s tropical wines while I was holidaying in Port Douglas. They were so great and so unique. I bought a book online at www.dineinportdouglas.com.au called Port Douglas Flavours for only $14.95 which Shannonvale is featured in. They’ve got a 2 page spread talking about their different wines and there are also pages about Port Douglas and...

Very nice drive to winery, wines are ok, but $5 for a tasting is great. You get to try 10+ different fruit wines.. The wines themselves are quite unique.
Along with the Reef and rain forests, I would say the unique fruits if the area are a nust-do atraction.. And the wines are part of that.

Wine sampling at its best. Nestled in the countryside, this winery can easily be overlooked. In a quaint setting, the wines are served outdoors under a canopy of green. We really enjoyed our little detour to Shannonvale Winery. The host was just delightful and very generous with her tasting quantities! She was also extremely passionate about her produce, describing each fruit and the qualities of each wine/port in detail. It was an enlightening experience and we also (very much!) enjoyed the wine.
Well worth the trip!

If you are interested in wine at all, they will give you a tasting of 13 wines! I think it costs $5 if...
