Spending a day at the reserve is an education. They have great staff who are willing to answer questions, yes, even seemingly silly ones. The animals are not caged and have large areas to roam around in. Even though the cafe was closed for renovations in April, it was a great experience and I will go there a few more... More

We went there as an arranged trip. The staff were wonderful. The animals, birds, reptiles were great. Well cared for and allowed for an up-close experience. More

Breakfast with the Beasts was more than we could have hoped for! We visited Cairns/Port Douglas region for the reef and rainforest and Breakfast with the Beast is another highlight for holiday makers. Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve is well worth the short drive out of Cairns and exceptionally good money for the experience to be enjoyed. This is more than... More

Hi I read with great disappointment the last post by "Only My experience1",.....Some people really are so negative & rather than focusing on the animals and the great work the owners are doing to care for these critically endangered species, they prefer to moan about the breakfast which I would compare to a camping breakfast experience, in the african savannah,... Giving them benefit of the doubt, i would say 2012 easter crowd might have shown management's lack of organisation. I was hungry. Breakfast w the beast: psuedo buffet. Each table served their portion of platted brekkie on their table by turn. Last table serve from first table serve was approx an hour wait. But i was entertained. The guides were... More

I went to the Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve with friends last October & had 'Breakfast with the beasts', which was an awesome experience! The park is huge & has lots of different kinds of animals, my only suggestion is either take LOTS of water as it is VERY hot or go in a cooler season! More

I took our 2 grandsons here for Breakfast and you were right up close with the lions. You could feel their breath which added to the experience. A must for anyone. More

My wife found this place because of their Breakfast with the Beast activity. Breakfast was excellent and the close up view of the lions was awesome; one of the staff told us about the lions and then fed them very close to us. The rest of the park was great, getting to see a lot of different animals up close.... More
