The town is very cute and keeps the characteristics of the towns that sorround Patzcuaro lake. The houses are white and red all along downtown. It has a main plaza where a lot of artisans expose their copper pieces. You can walk 2 blocks from downtown and go to the actual shops and see the artisans working on their pieces.... More

This was such an unexpected delight--we took a (nice) bus from Patzcuaro to Santa Clara del Cobre and found the little town clean, charming, and ALL about copper.
