While I found the snow and conditions at Sun Peaks as good as most resorts in BC, it came at a higher price tag than most other places we had stayed at. The skis I bought on "special" cost $200 more than the same ski at Silver Star. Most of the time the shop staff were disinterested. The mini supermarket... More

Loved how the hills weren't ever too busy probably because it is further to get to. Loved the different mountains you could ski at. really liked Mount Morrissey - skiing the trails amongst the trees. Loved the Sun Guides. Was perfect for my husband who is a more advanced skiier. He'd ski with them while the rest of the family... More

This is one of the best mountains for family fun. The snow is dry and plentiful, lots of lifts and various things to do beside skiing. Ice skating, sledding, spa, restaurants and more. My new favourite is Dog Sledding. Even if you can only afford the kennel tour it is worth it. Sledding is a bit more expensive so you... More

We had a brilliant week at the very comfortable hotel kesselspitze in Obertauern. The food was truly amazing and the facilities, perfect. We had a loft room which was ideal for our children (11 and 7). The spa facilities were also amazing. The staff were welcoming and some went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Not many... Our family stayed here for a long weekend. Great family skiing and a nice village with shops and restaurants. We stayed at the Coastal Sundance which was a great location with ski in, ski out. Our room had a small fridge and a one burner hot plate which was not enough kitchen for us. Great little pizza place in the... More

Kookaburra Lodge is ideally located for the ski enthusiast. Offering top quality accommodation overlooking the ski slopes. We stayed in unit 206 on the second floor which had a great hottub with a magnificent view of the slopes. It is located right in the hub of the village making it very convenient all round.

the village had no vibe. the staff seemed peeved and i think it is because they wished they were at whistler which has a great village vibe. The slowest chair lift in the world is on the far left of the mountain so avoid that if you don't like slow chairlifts

We found Sun Peaks to be one of the best resorts we have visited - it has great groomed and un-groomed skiing with a wide variety of terrain. The lift are excellent and the staff super-friendly. The village has a good variety of shops and restaurants and is very attractive

Having skied Whistler/Blackcomb and the local Vancouver mountains, I have to say that Sun Peaks ranks very highly as one of BC's great ski experiences. While lacking the sheer vertical drop of Whistler, it has a tremendous variety of terrain due to the three separate mountain faces available. From the steep pitches on runs like "Static Cling", to the perfectly... More

Best place I have ever skied. A vast ski area which was very beautiful. Quiet runs and no lift queues - perfect! Loads of great snow, but we didn't get the sunshine that Sun Peaks is known for!
