The outside of the building is rather unassuming, but the effort that these volunteers have put into this labor of love is apparent. The Minot Railroad Museum concentrates on displays of regional railroading that helped develop Minot. It has three display rooms full of memorabilia; a basement features a model railroad layout. Entry is free, but contributions are accepted. June through August, the museum operates a 2/5 scale Great Northern locomotive that pulls passenger cars through Roosevelt Park.
