This zoo has red pandas. While not as rare as their cousin the giant panda, the red panda is IMO just as adorable. Also, as an interesting note, if you see a red panda at another zoo in the United States the chances of it being born at the Red River Zoo is better than 50%.

We had a great time taking our daughter to the zoo. She enjoyed seeing the animals and even my husband had a great time witnessing the wolves howling. We go so many great close ups of the animals. Also, the indoor Carousel was a lot of fun for us and our little one.

Sure, it's fun to see animals at the zoo, but once you've been to this zoo there's little to draw you back. The quantity and quality of the enclosers leave much to be desired, particularly if you've been to larger cities' zoos.

Good zoo for young kids, stopped in for a leg stretched on our way to minnesota. I was pleased with what the zoo had to offer. My daughter enjoyed the carousel and the petting zoo. The zoo has some areas that could be developed and for price it was a good value. I would recommend young travellers to visit
