What a great find! I was expecting the worse when visiting the serpentarium - small, dark, dingy, musty, and a handful of the basic snakes you see everywhere. I was very surprised to see the many different species! The serpentarium has a huge variety of snakes, lizards/monitors, alligators/crocodiles, etc. I was amazed at how visible most of them were -... The Serpentarium has a wide variety of snakes (and some lizards). Many of the snakes are venomous, and many are the largest of their species I've seen. They live in attractive, well-designed habitats with good informational displays. The Serpentarium is conveniently located by the Wilmington Riverwalk and ample parking. The only negatives: the man at the front desk was less... More

I find snakes fascinating. Don't necessarily want to handle or own them but I love watching them and looking at them. The selection at the CFS was great!! My favorite was the Gaboon viper...beautiful and very deadly!!

There are a lot of snakes here! Best to find out when they are more active, feeding time. There are a couple parrots in the lobby too. Bring a camera.

We have been before and wanted to go back, however, it was closed for Monday and Tuesday! It says open "weekdays" on their website, so we were very disappointed as we were down from Michigan and had to return before Wednesday when the Serpentarium reopened. BE SURE TO CALL TO CONFIRM IF OPEN!!! However, that said, we have been before... More

I have never seen such huge snakes and selection of deadly snakes. Great place! Take cash only but worth the $8.00

We went on a Saturday that was cold and windy. The serpentarium is nice and warm. The snakes were beautiful and the cages were clean and spacious. Feeding time was around 3pm and they give talk about their habits. Very special place and educational. Rivals any NC aquarium without the drive.

Not sure how I feel about this place. It smelled bad, was dirty (translation tons of dead bugs (I swear they were roaches) at the bathrooom, the 'facts' seem like they were translated...as they didn't really make sense- one talked about molesting a lizard? Pictures of the animals next to the fact would habe been nice. I question how well... More

I was skeptical about going to the Serpentarium, but the kids talked me into it while Mom and Grandma went shopping. While the building isn't big, there are quite a few displays that are well done in terms of the habitat that the animals are in (mostly snakes, but also some crocs). We enjoyed the rating system for the snakes... More

The cost for this attraction is over priced for the short 20-25 minutes it takes to walk thruough two levels and see the snakes, lizards and a couple of crocodiles.
