What a feast for the eyes. We loved seeing all the original antique items in the general store. We wandered around the store and purchased a few items we have never seen anywhere else. We would go back again.

My family and I stopped by the store on a recent weekend stay in Banner Elk. My 7 yr old niece loved it (especially all the candy!!!). She declared it "the best day of my life". If you ever get to Boone, NC, make sure you visit Mast! It is a beautiful old building built in the 1800's. They have all kinds of things for sale. And lots of old things to look at, from the post office to an old wooden casket upstairs like ones they used to sell there.

This is a store for everyone to look through, maybe even buy something, prices are a little above what some places charge but not much. Both the original and annex Mast General Store showcases a great variety of items from clothing, shoes, candy, old toys, home/kitchen decor and general merchandise.
