The upper Whitewater Falls is about 60 miles from Asheville, NC. There is a paved scenic walkway that leads to a better view of the falls. If you like waterfalls, you will love this one. It falls 411 ft and is the highest east of the Mississippi. The hike is an easy one. There is a nominal fee of $2/car.... More

You reach these lovely falls by a short, scenic hike up a paved pathway, then reach a better view by descending a few flights of steps. Very tourist friendly from the directional signs on the incoming roads to the facilities on site. Was nice to see the falls. More

This falls has just a short walk up a gradual uncle for a great view. A short walk down a nice wooden stairs leads to a very nice overlook with spectacular views. Worth the trip. More
