This was our first stop after we settled in our hotel. We were looking for a winery lunch and we found it. This is a small, family owned winery. The building is a fabulous piece of modern architecture, with views in every direction through floor to ceiling windows. The food is traditional german food (not my favourite), but don't be... More

Thank you for taking the time to write such a well considered review. I appreciate your comments on the food; what I am really on about is that the early German settlers to the Barossa Valley would have found the climate quite different to Europe, and this was reflected in the style of food they favoured once they got here... WOW - architecture gone mad!!! Rick must have been on something when he designed this place - it is SOOOO different - and the wines are all good - especially if you like a sticky. Do yourself a favour and have lunch here - the modern adaption of heritage Barossa food is amazing More

the winemaker was brilliant - a small family run business with a very personal approach . He interacted with the visitors and made them feel comfortable with the blending process and wine tasting. He was generous with his time and wine ! More

Thank you for taking the time to post on Trip Adviser. Rick does enjoy having the opportunity to share his wine making experiences when he is in the cellar door. More

We had a great time chatting to Richard the wine maker about all sorts of wines and what his wine making philosphy was. Several bottles off the list were opened as we got to taste more unusual wines. Just as well the food got served; because we would have been at the bar all day otherwise - not that I... More

We visit Kabminye every time we go to the Barossa. The owner Rick is very passionate about his wines and be prepared to try everything. Lucky they make some great wines. The restaurant is also great and serves some traditional settler food. More

This is a must stop at Barossa for small groups. We got to talk to the winemaker and asked a lot of questions. More

This has become my favourite winery. Its only small, but has a good and relatively cheap (for the quality) list of wines. Definitely recommended for a couple or small group. Doesnt really cater for a large group or a bus. More

Enjoyed our trip here, it was the last of our Barossa Highlights tour. It's off the beaten track, has a welcoming feel to it. My fav was the Hubert's Shiraz, and I liked the muscat blanc too. More

This is a great place to eat on a day out in the Barossa. It is slightly off the beaten track but has a lovely view of the surrounding area, food was delicious, staff were friendly and the wines were good too! More

Located in Krondorf Road with other cellar door wineries this is a chance to taste some very different local wines. Plenty to choose from & made from varieties rarely seen in larger more commercial operations in this area. Fantastic personal service from a family business. Very nice restaurant with views over vineyard with sculptures to fascinate all ages. More
