Maybe they just had too many people visiting that day - it was not the warm welcoming atmosphere that you get at some of the other cellar doors - but the Cellar Door Only samples made up for it! More

Great wines, great service, staff happily answered questions and did not leave you filling a twit for asking. Wines are superb and we purchased some fortified wine to enjoy once home. Definately one of the must visit wineries of Barossa. More

Since Penfolds is such a huge winery we expected the tasting room to be like one of those huge, inpersonal tasting rooms in California. Not, so. The room was small and intimate. Our pourer took her time to explain the characteristics of wines we tasted. Lovely More

We enjoyed our visit back to Penfolds as we haven’t been here for approx 18 years! We were very fortunate to try the “luxury wine of the day” which just happened to be the 2005 Magill Estate Shiraz – Wow, couldn’t resist taking a couple of bottles home! Staff were attentive and very friendly. More
