Went to Litchfield for the day. Saw Florence falls, Wangi falls and Buley rockpools. Scenery and surroundings are beautiful! Driving through the roads it seems you are in the middle of nowhere but then you arrive to the various locations and you are greeted with lots of signs and car parks to guide you. Inside the Buley rockpools the water... More

The day started early, I was picked up from my hotel at 7am. We then headed to the spectacular jumping crocodile boat ride (this was included as part of the tour but I noted you can turn up and pay $25 for this). Our guide Mark then got out a python and we all had a turn at holding the... More

This beautiful national park is a must-see. Beautiful, varied waterfalls and rock pools to swim in and nice scenery. Allow plenty of time for swimming - have a natural spa at Buley rock holes or swim behind the falls at Florence Falls. We haven't done any walk trails as it has always been too hot, but I'm sure they would... More

Just 2 hours drive from Darwin and you are in a different world, different planet. Beautifully waterfalls, rock pools, picnic areas and amazing native plants and animals. You may swim into perfect water pool (take your goggles) and have a barbecue with timber fuel in picnic area. You may be disturbed by decent size iguanas while having your barbecue. Do... More

As Molly would say "Do yourself a favor" and get along and see this place. It is fantastic the amazing water falls, rock pools, The Lost City and other spots allow at least a full day so you can see as much as possible if you have the time stay overnight plenty of places in the area. I need to... More

Wow! We managed to visit and swim in the Buley Rockhole & at Florence Falls and it was so stunningly beautiful & refreshing too as it was abut 35 degrees. It's not a long drive from Darwin, make sure you take your swim gear & your camera and we highly recommend taking a snorkel and mask, I know we wish... More

We travelled to Litchfield with Wallaroo Tours. It was full day, small coach tour and it was amazing.

We were there during the sticky hot wet season at the start of march. All the swimming areas were closed due to fast flowing and dangerous waters or crocodiles. A number of the walking tracks had been washed away the previous day after heavy rains and subsequent high waters. The cafes were closed. The bonus was the are was not... More
