Thumbs up. No seasickness felt on motoscafo as it goes very fast and waters were not so choppy.

I went from Naples to Trapani by boat. They only operate in the summer. But really, I would recommend flying into Palermo and renting a car. The flight is short, and the car ride would be like an hour and the roads are not that bad, you can even take the highway. A boat for 8 hours made me sea...

I am surprised that there are so few Italian people who dont understand english and especially people who work with tourist attraktions such as Ustica Lines. I only understand a few words italian so it was hard to even buy the tickets in the first place.
We took the boat from Palermo (departure 07,00) to Ustica (arrival 8,30), but we...

Great thing to try, good schedule, it takes 30 minutes to get to Favignana. If you are traveling in August, make sure you buy tickets in advance.

The aliscafi are fast, clean and comfortable and run on time but they are expensive compared to the Greek or Croatian ferries! Note that there is a 1 euro tax pp on the outbound trip (if the previous poster looks at her ticket she'll see it - they were not trying to rip her off!) The islands haven't the charm...

I bought a direct return ticket from one of the islands to Trapani which cost 9.80euro, I gave the lady a 50euro note only to receive 30.20euro change. Even advising her that she'd given me the incorrect amount back she wouldn't back down from what she'd given me. I guess you need to tip high in Trapani because that's the...
