the church, as in all other old churches in the visayas is made of coral stone,constructed in 1700. so its 300years old.A tour guide accompanied us around the church and the convent including going up the bell tower to experience to tolling of the big bell and a photo op.it's an unforgettable experiance

A replica of the big bell is located in front of the museum for those who can't climb up the steep steel stairs but if you can climb up, even slowly, you will see not only the big bell (called dakong lingganay) but the aerial view on top of the belfry tower. Very old church, interesting. You'll also see a very old bell which was made out of 70 sacks of coins. Tour guide was very accommodating, not to mention our friend is the daughter of the city's previous mayor for 10 years.
