When we took the grandkids in 2011 June, there was no charge!! 2 hours of fun for free!! Fairly crowded but all kids were polite and took turns without direction. Adults can go too. We have gone to Sliding Rock since that's all it was: a huge rock in the river that we could slide down. Now it is developed and has a fee, but it still beats the super-developed and very commercial water slides. Not for the little ones who cannot swim. More

Very cold water. People line up to slide down the giant smooth rock...clothes or bathing suits. Adults and kids bounce down the rock into the pool at the bottom. Fun to watch first timers go down the rock. More
