Enjoyed fishing and waking on the pier. Almost every time on it we saw dolphins. Some close enough to hear them breath. The staff was helpful and very friendly. A great bargain at $2 a person.

We were looking for something to kill an hour and we stumbled upon jenettes pier. The pier is one of the modern piers with a gift shop, snack bar, and a learning center. It was entertaining watching the fishermen pull out exotic fish. I've never seen a blow fish until I visited jenettes pier. It was a two dollar donation... More

Recently been rebuilt because of Hurricane Sandy. Very pretty and you can fish from this pier as well as walk. There's a small exhibit inside and it's a great place for anyone of all ages. If you're planning a wedding, check them out because they had a beach wedding going on while we were there.

The new Jennette's is HUGE! It sits on concrete pillars and there is zero sway. (If you love the sway of the old style piers, this one is absolutely stable.) It is very wide, giving ample space for fishermen and strollers alike. It includes a gift shop and snack shop and has very informative information centers. You can learn all... More

A nice structure and very centrally located, but if you're looking for a fun family diversion, we still enjoy the Aquarium in Manteo even more.

This is a relatively new pier that was rebuilt after a hurricane in 2008. It's in great shape and from what I can recall, it goes out about 900 feet. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful especially when it comes to renting equipment and figuring out which bait to use. The fishing was good even though I don't think... More

With a camera - the weather was stormy and we were able to take some fabulous pictures from the pier - plus go inside to warm up. They had a nice shop with lots of stuffed animals and some snacks.

Beautiful new pier, free to walk on (they take donations) and a bunch of interesting aquariums on the lower level. A great way to spend a couple of hours, even if you don't fish.

Another must-do activity on the OBX, is to walk Jenette’s Pier in Nag’s Head. It is a popular stop for touring buses as well. There was a request for a $2 donation to walk the 1000’ extension into the ocean. On this day there were a couple of buses filled with junior high school. Some of the kids tried their... More
