The house we toured had a lot of great information and there was a well-stocked gift shop and lots of historical information. The Lighthouse is currently under renovation, but we were able to get some excellent pictures from a distance. I can't wait until it reopens next year and would love to tour it. This lighthouse features a long boardwalk across wetlands and a gazebo structure in the marsh. Beautiful place for artists and photographers. Nice giftshop. Bring bug spray-those mosquitos can be pesky. More

I recently visited Bodie Lighthouse. Although it is having some construction. It was still pretty and photogenic. I walked the trail back to the pier for another nice view of lighthouse. It was convenient to the highway and is a must see. More

While you cannot climb this lighthouse it is a must see lighthouse if you are visiting the Outer Banks. The previous poster stated that there are three lighthouses on the Outer Banks but he failed to list the Currituck Lighthouse in Corolla. Small lighthouse, cute gift shop. Nice boardwalk for some good birdwatching. More

Close lighthouse to visit while stayin in Nags Head. Visitor center and shop. Lots of orange construction fence circling the lighthouse - didn't make for great pictures. More
