Small coastal aquarium staffed 90%+ by volunteers. Lot's of exhibits for all ages, great fish and swamp wildlife interest. Skip the snack bar and gift shop and i't worth every penny! TIP If you're a ZooPass holder you get in free! And thanks to the Dobo family for contributing to the Aquarium More

It's not a big city Aquarium but perfect size so that the kids don't lose interest. The heavy doors don't make it stroller friendly, (I had a newborn too) but otherwise a great way... More

While visiting Fort Fisher and Kure beach near Wilmington, I saw a sign for the N C Aquarium and decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. Pay your $8.00, less for seniors and kids, of course, and prepare for an aquaria delight. You begin in the nature atrium looking at reptiles, birds, plants and such. Seeing the... More

While visiting Carolina Beach, we went to the aquarium in Kure Beach. It was well worth the time. A small aquarium, but many different varieties of fish. A great value. Great for young children! More

We camped over the weekend at Carolina Beach State Park and were looking for an activity for the rainy Sunday with our 4-year-old daughter. The aquarium was fantastic and we bought a 2-year membership that we can visit this aquarium again and the other NC aquariums. The alligators were amazing and we watched them close-up in awe (behind glass). The... More
