Everything was in bloom and the garden cafe is open. A truly remarkable, tranquil experience. More

Such a lovely retreat. Most of the year these Gardens abound with floral beauty. The pond has been rebuilt and offers a lovely setting for photos and a shady spot to and reflect. We had our son's wedding at the Gardens last summer. Although it was hot, the flowers were just gorgeous and it is well proportioned and manicured beautifully.... More

Best part of Durham. Could walk around there all day. Lots of places to sit and relax. Calming and enchanting. More

Lots of wedding photos happen here. It is a great place to spend the day with a quiet stroll. Can get busy on some days, making it difficult to find a quiet spot. More

Beautiful, not-too-manicured gardens adjacent to the main part of Duke's west campus, open to the public. Includes many native plants. More

Duke Gardens is not very large compared to other gardens I have been to, but it is lovely. Lots of lovely backdrops for pictures and great places to spend an afternoon if the weather is good. There were lots of other people having picnics and playing frisbee on the Sunday afternoon we went. More

B-E-A-UTIFUL is the word. Great for families and picnics. Duke University has also enabled the students to have wi-fi in the gardens so they may study surrounded by floral wonder. More

The gardens are absolutely beautiful! We did not allow enough time to see the entire gardens since we were on such a tight schedule when we were there. If visiting the gardens, make sure you allow plenty of time to take your time walking through enjoying the sites! Oh, and don't forget your camera! Absolutely beautiful photo opportunites! More

They are the Butchard Gardens, but while visiting Duke espeically in the Spring, this is a must. We enjoyed the gardens and brought our picnic lunch. More
