Ok, so we were walking into this mall to look for some Indian souvenirs and we thought 'a bit tacky, but ok' when we suddenly saw this poor bear in a tiny, featureless concrete box around 15'x4'. We were all shocked. I am a wildlife lover and to keep such a beautiful, noble animal in such squalid conditions is a... More

Exciting time feeding the bears and watching them do tricks for food but sad because they need more room to move. There are two bear parks in Cherokee and both were nice. The other park offers pictures with a baby bear for 20.00 nice keepsake to remember your trip to the mountains. More

I understand the negative reviews. When visiting this place I had mixed emotions. Part of me was excited and could not get enough of the interaction with the Bears. Then the other side of me was sad that the bears were in captivity. As others mentioned their spaces are so small. It's typically two bears to a space. One space... More

If you want to see many starving and suffering animals, then this is the place to go!!!! The bears were distressed and pacing back and forth in their "enclosures." The cement pits and tiny cages that the bears were in were not clean and the water, if any, was filthy! I was given a free plate of food to give... More

The cruelty displayed in this place is simply beyond words. I admire the history and traditions of the Cherokee so deeply so this place seems so completely out of place. Over the years it is obvious that Cherokee is trying to hold on to their culture. To have a place like this that dishonors the spirit of the bear is... More

My husband and I decided to visit this Bear Park that is located next to Saunooke Village and Chief Saunooke Trading Post while we were in town. The admission was only $5 per person & included a food tray (lettuce, apples, bread) to feed the bears. Children wearing diapers were FREE. They do not accept credit cards, but there is... More
