This is my Favorite site in all of Charlotte! The beautiful cherry blossoms in Spring, great trails connecting areas along the river with the paved area around the pond. Music festivals & Fabulous outdoor movies in the summer. I LOVE this place! Don't forget to stop in the Nature Museum next door, especially if you have little ones along:) More

We had visited a few other parks in the area, but this tops them all! It was busy the day we went but not overcrowded. The pond is beautiful and the area is very well maintained. A nice way to spend an afternoon. More

Lived near there for years. Was "attacked by the ducks" once which was interesting. Haven't been in years (earliest allowable click on date here is May 2011) - hope it's still clean and nice like it used to be. More

A huge park that caters to all park lovers. The train is great decor and made the playground fun to be in. Even a sand pit to play in. Tons of sport fields and pitches. Walking and biking paths to boot. More

Freedom Park is a must-visit for locals and visitors. It is well maintained and has plenty to offer in a beautiful urban setting. There is a lake with ducks and a nice bridge; it's the perfect place for families, couples & individuals to get together for quality time outdoors. There are playing fields, an old train (non-functional, but very cool... More

I love Freedom Park! It is a great spot for a picnic, or to ride your bike or rollerblade, or jog/walk with friends, or simply to escape and read a great book. It is centrally located and they have a playground for kids, numerous tennis courts, soccer fields, a nature center, and so much more. More
