There are a lot of paths in the gardens, unfortunately, they are not well marked. The plants are also not as well marked as they could be - other than the rhododendrons, which were well marked and spectacular. If you are in the area, this is worth a visit but if you have to go out of your way to... More

I was attending school at the time of our visit. It was a very nice place. So calm and serene. They have beautiful flowers and plants of all kinds with plaques to tell all about them. They have bridges and creeks and Asian themed areas. It is clean and very well landscaped. A most enjoyable visit!

My wife and I wanted to have a relaxing day and decided to see the gardens, as we'd never been before. Very nicely laid out and saw some wonderful plants and flowers. A lot of color. Great place to relax and enjoy an afternoon walk.

I don't got to school at UNCC but discovered the gardens because I was looking for something outdoorsy, safe, and active to do while I was visiting the area for work and looking for some true beauty in the middle of strip mall-landia. What a find and worth the effort to find and take the time to relax and enjoy... More

My wife and I read about UNCC's botanical gardens & greenhouse - and were very pleased to find out that the greenhouse would be open during our recent vacation getaway over the holidays. We figured out the directions and drove to it on 12/29/12. Free weekend parking was right beside the greenhouse. What a nice little surprise the greenhouse turned... More

My sister came to visit and we wanted something to do that was relaxing and outside. We found the overall experience a positive one but found that the first couple of greenhouses to be in need of attention. The trails outside were nice. We took lots of pictures.

The UNC Botanical Gardens really are beautiful, and I hardly ever see anyone there. There is a steep downhill to get to the main portion of the garden, but worth it to see the Japanese garden. Their collection of hydrangeas is breathtaking in June.

We took our summer camp there and we learned alot about plants. It was free and you could give a small donation if you wanted to. You could also by plants. This is a great place to take the kids for the afternoon.
