One hour can be enough to visit this small but interesting museum. The break will be better with a lunch at the Alcyon restaurant. Good choice for visitors and good break for shoppers. More

This is a hip museum in downtown Charlotte -- totally worth checking out. I saw a nice exhibit of work by Romare Bearden, and another featuring the work of textile/installation artist Sheila Hicks. Nice gift shop, and a beautiful restaurant, too. Right across a small park from the convention center and the Westin. More

Nice size Museum. Easy to go through in an hour or so. They have a scavanger hunt for kids, which keeps it fun for them. Wonderful clothing on display. The little gardens on each side of the rear of the museum are such a nice treat. It's also FREE on Tuesdays after 5 pm! More

I hated it!! It was so boring!!! Not a thing for people under 13. I like the Discovery Place better. It's a fun way to learn not look at a bunch or art and old stuff. More
