The tour was excellent from beginning to end. Our guide, Jen, was engaging, informative, and was very good at getting a feel for our small group and keeping things interesting, fun and enjoyable. Our 3 hour walking tour seems short because of the fun we were having, but when I think back on all we got to experience, I don't... More

Susan was our tour guide and she was fabulous. It was very educational for both my husband and I, which only sparked our passion for food even more. Our tour had good variety and was the perfectly portioned to allow us to taste everything. We loved the farmer's market and regret not toting my backpack or large purse to hold... More

This tour really only explores the little town of Carrboro, and not Chapel Hill at all (which is good on a football week-end when Chapel Hill is overrun with traffic). There's not that much of interest in Carrboro, but the tour included a nice variety of places, including the Farmer's Market, a chocolate specialty shop, a place that makes their... More

Our guide Susan was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We tried different local wines and beers, spoke with different farmers, and met some wonderful chefs. The walking distance was fine and was perfect after eating at our stops. I would change nothing about the tour. Oh, I almost forgot, we also learned a lot about coffee which I didn't expect. You... We did the Chapel Hill/Carrboro tour today. I have to say, it was quite disappointing. We decided to do the Chapel Hill/Carrboro tour because we had such a wonderful experience last year with the Downtown Raleigh tour. We did that tour to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and we couldn’t be happier with the sample food served by each of the... More

We had a great time at the taste of Carolina Carrboro tour. The tour goes on rain or shine and fortunately we walked through 3 hours of mostly shine. We got to the Open eye Cafe and found out that our itinerary didn't include anything in Chapel Hill. It seemed a little like bad advertisement as I'm sure few people... More

Just wrapped up the tour in Carrboro/Chapel Hill - a great way to entertain some special out of town guests. Our guide Jennifer was warm and friendly, very knowledgeable and the perfect pacesetter (is that a word???). Even our fellow tour mates were delightful and added to the experience. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be doing it again... More

My daughter and I took this three hour walking tour in Carrboro. It was a great day! Whether you live here or are showing visitors around,it is well worth it and a very pleasant way to spend the day.I moved here in the past year,so now I have some insight on some great local places. Our tour guide Jennifer was interesting and... Even as someone who feels like they know the local food scene very well, the Taste Carolina tour was a great experience and well worth it! The Carrboro tour took us to Neal's Deli - for two biscuit samples: egg and cheese, pastrami and mustard. Farmer's Market - a place you can easily go on your own, but the tour's... More

We had the Chapel Hill food tour with some friends from out of the country as a celebration of my 50th birthday. The tour guides prepared an excellent choice of restaurants, the food was plenty and we even get to know the local chefs. I even had small gifts prepared especially for me in many of the places we visited!!... More
