I visit the area often for business and was told by the locals that this place was a must. It did not disappoint! In a land of chain stores and box restaurants, it is great to find a place with such unique offerings. From beautiful serving pieces to gourmet food ( smoked scallops to due for!) you can really go... More

If you enjoy cooking or gourmet food you will likely love this place. A deli, cheese shop, coffee bar and candy shop are each tempting. They sell most any kitchen gadget you would want. More

I absolutely love A Southern Season's cooking school. I've been to about a dozen classes since they started offering them. I've started a tradition of going to one for my birthday celebration. Not only can you count on have a great meal (with wine) but the celebrity chef is always entertaining and has many cooking tips. Virginia Willis was wonderful... More

IT is difficult to explain this store without stating that it is a uplifting experience for folks who enjoy buying, shopping and seeing old & new food items- cooking utensils, pot, pans and a whole lot more.. This past weekend was packed- perhaps due to the Valentine holiday- but I have been there many times & always wish I had... More

If you can think it you will find it and if you never thought it - it will be there. What a dream store. I can never see the whole store. But try and find the free samples - bread, pastry, crackers, cheese, chocolate, coffee, candy, cooking demonstration. Wonderful selection of gourmet sugar free chocolate. I always run out of... More

While visiting a friend in Chapel Hill last week, we went to a lovely and informative wine tasting at A Southern Season. The wine was great, (I love wine and had never tasted these particular varietals) so the tasting was fun and interesting - being held in their amazing teaching kitchen with some accompanying yummy cheeses and meats. But the... More
