This was the worse experience ever. First of all, I had 5 children with me along with several adults. We were staying there from Friday to Monday. Had to buy the lift tickets each day. On the last day I went to purchase the tickets for everyone. They have diffent names for their lift tickets, ie...twilight etc... She said it... More

We have been to Sugar Mountain for the last two years and have really enjoyed ourselves. We have an 8 year old who first took ski lessons the first year and snowboarding lessons the second year. He did amazing and we loved that we could go ski the bigger slopes while he learned with his class. After his class we... More

I really liked Sugar, but if I was headed up there again, I would be more likely to visit Ski Beech. More

Went to Sugar Mountain and first off you have to park a good ways away and walk with your ski boots on which kinda sucks then it was insanely busy. You couldn't get into the rental area and when you did they were not helpful or nice. Then when we signed up for a private lesson the people just herded... More

We are in the car now, driving back from Banner Elk and our fun 4 days of skiing at Sugar Mountain. Fantastic family trip! Great staff Great lockers (bring extra quarters) Great lifts Good skiing conditions (unfortunately, Sugar Mountain can't make it snow unless it falls below 32 degrees) OK good selection (pack lunch if you want more than cafeteria... Just a large room with cafeteria style tables that you're not supposed to sit at unless you buy food from the snack bar. We found the food overpriced and not good. The bar upstairs actually has a fireplace and a great view of the slopes. In... More

Love this area, good food and places to shop too. If you want to spend the nights there, there are many cabins you can rent too. More
