Not as good as other national parks. It's pretty boring, no events, not allowed to do much there, unclean and empty and old.

I have visited Yanchep National Park often over the last 10 years and love the relaxed, family atmosphere of the park. You can take a picnic lunch or barbecue and enjoy a relaxing time with your friends. There is a walk around the perimeter of the lake and boats you can hire to row yourself on the water. A fun...

We've been to Yanchep a number of times. We enjoy the little Koala walk, the kangaroos, birds such as Carnaby's Cockatoos, and the Aboriginal shows. This is a one man show, but very interesting as well as the other with dancing. They also have caves and a nice gift shop and cafe.

Staying in Yanchep without transport and in the heat of the day it is too far to walk to the park plus there are no buses. Taxis are not available. Not a problem - we hitched a lift there and back and we thank those who stopped for us. I really wouldn't have bothered with it if i had known...

Just north of Perth this little park has it all. The koalas are particularly anjoyable. If you are game you can hire a canoe. We did so with a strong sea breeze blowing & spent most of our time in the reeds. Always fun.
